Prasar Bharti has successfully been able to establish itself as the
largest public broadcaster in the country at present time. The
organization is an autonomous body in nature and it encompasses the
well-renowned electronic media channels such as Doordarshan television
channel and All India Radio. The inception of the organization took
place after the decision was taken that there should be an autonomous
body for broadcasting purposes in the country even if it is government
owned. The Act to implement this decision was passed in the year 1990
but the enactment was delayed till the year 1997. The Prasar Bharti Act
got its consent from the President of India in order to establish the
entity. The most important functions which the organization looks after
is to impart high quality information, entertainment and education
related material to the public.
SSC Prasar Bharti Recruitment 2013 Details ?
The SSC (Staff Selection Commission) will be
conducting a highly efficient recruitment process for the vacancies that
have been notified by Prasar Bharti. The vacancies have arisen in
different departments in the organization. The various fields in which
the vacancies have been notified are the Engineering Assistant positions
and Technician positions. The total number of vacancies associated with
this recruitment process is 1630, which have been divided as follows:
Engineering Assistant – 1290 vacancies and Technician – 340.
The
reservation of vacancies would be applicable for the candidates who
belong to the reservation categories as per the rules and regulations of
the government regarding these matters.
Before apply read eligibility criteria:
The age limit that has been defined for the position of Engineering
Assistant is 30 years and the minimum and maximum age limit defined for
the vacancies related to Technician position is 18 years to 25 years.
The upper limit of age can be relaxed for the candidates belonging to
the reservation categories and this relaxation would be subject to the
instructions provided by the government and the recruiting authorities.
The educational qualifications required for the Engineering Assistant
vacancies is that the candidates should possess 3 years diploma in
Radio Telecommunication/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Information
Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering with the knowledge
of wireless Radio Engineering. The qualifications required for the
position of Technician is that the candidates should have a 2 years
diploma in Electronics/ Telecommunication Engineering after 10+2from a
recognized university/institute.
Mode of Selection:
The SSC would be conducting a written test
procedure for both the positions that have been notified by Prasar
Bharti. The eligible candidates would be required to go through the
written test and on the basis of their performance in this test, their
selection would be finalized.
Application Submission Process:
The candidates will have to pay the application fee through challan
format or net banking facility. The candidates should be ready with
their photographs and signature before filling the application form
online. The candidates have to login to the website of SSC and go
through all the relevant information. They will have to fill all the
details in the online form as instructed and then submit the application
form within the stipulated time frame. The last date for submitting the
online form is 20
th March 2013.
